Job Title: Paint and Spray Machine Operator

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Starting at $17.50

Shift: Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Occasional Saturdays - 2nd Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Paint and Spray Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of painting and coating machinery in accordance with job specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate paint and spray machines in alignment with production requirements.
• Mix paints, coatings, and solutions per established formulas.
• Select and apply appropriate coatings based on material and job criteria.
• Adjust spray gun settings to control flow rate, spray pattern, and temperature.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs as needed.
• Monitor the coating process and perform quality control checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, production logs, and material usage.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures and chemical handling protocols.

Daily Tasks and Duties

• Prepare workpieces by cleaning, sanding, masking, or other surface prep tasks.
• Apply primers, base coats, and finish coats in the correct sequence.
• Inspect finished surfaces for consistency, thickness, and defects.
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Follow all applicable environmental and occupational health regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with industrial painting or spray coating equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety guidelines, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot quality issues.
• Must be comfortable working around chemicals and machinery in a controlled environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
