Job Description
Annual Compensation Range: $65,000-$75,000 Biocoat is committed to providing the best medical device coatings for patient care. We are looking for a positive and dedicated Maintenance Technician to assist with maintaining our automated machines and manufacturing equipment. This position will be under the supervision of the Process Engineering Team.
Responsibilities: Maintenance Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance for a variety of automated systems, analytical, lab, and manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing lab equipment and automated systems
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures, install replacement parts
- Construct parts using machine shop instruments
- Use a variety of tools for completing assigned maintenance tasks and workorders
- Follow procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Log performed maintenance tasks through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Install and assemble new machines and automated systems.
- Conduct upkeep and monitor building systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to include painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry; maintenance tasks do not involve property maintenance such as landscaping.
- Identify and maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies
Skills & Requirements: - 2 years of experience in one or more of the building trades
- High school diploma with successful completion of a vocational school suitable though more complex tasks may require additional licenses.
- Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
- Proven experience in abiding by safety requirements and ability to operate and enforce all safety guidelines in a clean room and laboratory environment
- Time management, prioritizing, attention to detail skills
- Good written documentation and verbal skills
- Ability to work on a ladder up to 10-12 feet
- Available to work at times before and after typical office hours and act competently in emergencies if needed
- Valid driver’s license
