The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth North Pinellas

The role you'll contribute:

Implements and supervises physical exercise programs for patients.

The value you'll bring to the team:
• Coordinates exercise program including referral proceedings, scheduling, program planning, and exercise supervision to achieve the goals of the department.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and promotes a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates, and disseminates research and evidence-based practice.
• Maintains patient/client safety by explaining and demonstrating correct exercise technique and equipment use, closely supervising all activities and discontinuing patient's exercise if the condition warrants.
• Meets department productivity standard defined by the department.
• Communicates and documents patient information effectively.
• Performs and interprets the results of physiological assessment accurately, recognizing high-risk individuals and designing/referring appropriate exercise prescription.
• Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients using test data, patient status, and current medication regimen.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :
• Bachelor's degree - in exercise science or related field
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
