Job Description

The Department of Political Science and Public Policy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Political Science beginning August 2026. Qualifications include a doctorate in political science or a related field (may be ABD at the time of application if degree completion by August 2026 is certain), college-level teaching experience, a strong desire to teach undergraduates, and a record of, or demonstrated promise of, high-quality intellectual contributions.  The ideal candidate will specialize in International Relations or Comparative Politics.
